If you are seeking both an ASD and ADHD assessment, a discount may apply. The exact fee will depend on whether the assessments are for an adult or an adolescent.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice or if you do not attend your session without notifying us by email at admin@ballaratwomenspsychology.com, the full out of pocket fee of $136.05 applies.

This fee is to cover administrative fees and the costs of running the practice which still need to be covered when clients do not show up. Giving us adequate notice allows us to offer that appointment to someone else on our waiting list who may be able to benefit from the appointment time.

Thank you for your understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment. However if you wish to claim any Medicare rebates, you must have a valid and current GP referral addressed to our service. You are welcome to self-refer by contacting us via phone or email, please note that the full session fee will be payable by you in the absence of a GP referral.

  • Some private health insurers cover extras for psychological services. It's a good idea to check with your health fund about your rebate before booking. After your session, we'll send you a receipt so you can claim the rebate directly from them as we are not able to do this on the spot.

  • You can absolutely reschedule or cancel your appointment. We understand that sometimes things happen that mean you are unable to attend. If you need to change your appointment, we ask that you contact us with as much notice as possible. Appointment changes with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur cancellation fees.

  • You can expect your sessions to be warm, inviting and tailored to your specific goals and mental health needs. Our psychologists are skilled and committed to ensuring your comfort and privacy remain priority. Any information shared in sessions is kept confidential, except in rare instances where we are required to comply with legal and/or ethical obligations to ensure your, and others safety.

  • We are able to offer telehealth appointments, both exclusively- such as if you live out of region and require all appointments to be telehealth, and on occasions when you may be unwell or unable to attend your usual session in person. Please contact us to discuss this, or chat to your psychologist to make arrangements.

  • Our reception is currently manned on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30am - 4:30pm. You can contact us via email outside of these hours and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Yes. We offer Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments for adolescents from 8 years old with Amie Verescuk. Adolescent assessments are conducted using evidence-based tools and a developmentally appropriate approach, with a focus on understanding the young person’s strengths, challenges, and support needs.

Please note that adolescents seeking an assessment are required to be linked with a paediatrician prior to commencing the assessment process to ensure appropriate medical oversight and coordinated care.

  • The best way to contact us is via email at admin@ballaratwomenspsychology.com. As our Practice Manager works in the clinic part-time, email allows us to respond more efficiently and ensures your enquiry is directed to the appropriate team member.

If you would prefer to speak with us by phone, you are also welcome to call 0490 884 951. Please note that phone messages may take a little longer to return during clinic hours.
