At Ballarat Women’s Psychology, our team is made up of experienced and dedicated female psychologists and therapists who are passionate about supporting women’s mental health at every stage of life. Stacey Allison: Psychologist - Clinical Registrar
Stacey is a registered psychologist currently completing her clinical endorsement program. She is passionate about supporting and empowering women through a client-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach. Stacey provides a warm and collaborative space for clients to explore challenges and develop strategies to build resilience, self-acceptance, and emotional wellbeing. She has a special interest in postpartum mental health and body image, as well as supporting clients experiencing life transitions, anxiety, low to moderate depression, stress, and self-esteem or interpersonal difficulties.
Stacey is unable to accept clients with active eating disorders requiring medical/multidisciplinary care, active psychosis or schizophrenia, personality disorders with high-risk behaviours, or severe/complex mental health presentations requiring intensive case management or crisis support.
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Kimberley Tuohey: Psychologist
Kimberley is a registered psychologist with a compassionate and understanding approach, passionate about supporting women and adolescent girls across all stages of life. She provides a safe and supportive therapeutic space where clients can develop insight, resilience, and self-understanding. Kim has a special interest in supporting teens, perinatal mental health and the psychological impacts of fertility treatment. She primarily uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s individual needs.
Kimberley is unable to accept referrals for NDIS clients, Workcover clients, or third-party funded clients at this time.
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday (fortnightly)
Linda Murphy: Psychologist - Clinical Registrar
Linda is a registered psychologist with a special interest in trauma and neurodivergence, providing a warm, empathic, and supportive therapeutic space where clients can explore their goals and develop strategies for wellbeing. She draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), tailoring her approach to each client’s needs. Before transitioning into psychology, Linda worked as a nurse and midwife and has extensive experience supporting clients affected by family violence. This background informs her collaborative and sensitive approach, helping clients feel heard, safe, and supported while navigating complex experiences. Linda is also trained in conducting psychological assessments, providing insights and guidance to help clients understand themselves and plan next steps in their personal, educational, or professional lives. She is currently completing her clinical endorsement program.

Emma Rodgers: Psychologist - Clinical Registrar
Emma is a registered psychologist passionate about supporting women’s mental health across all life stages, with a particular focus on the perinatal period, from preconception through to postpartum. She provides a safe, compassionate, and trauma-informed space, helping clients explore their experiences and develop understanding, empowerment, and self-compassion.
Emma integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s needs, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, and Talk Therapy. Her practice is person-centred and attachment-based, and she works collaboratively with clients to develop care plans tailored to their goals and wellbeing.
Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (monthly)
Aavi Desai: Psychologist
Aavi is a registered psychologist with a special interest in supporting clients affected by trauma and complex trauma, as well as neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD and Autism (ASD). She brings a calm, flexible, and client-centred approach, informed by her previous experience at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
Aavi is highly experienced in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful, evidence-based therapy for processing trauma, alongside other interventions including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and culturally sensitive approaches. She also has experience in family-focused work and psychological assessments, tailoring her practice to meet each client’s unique needs.
Working Days: Wednesday (Telehealth), Saturday (Face-to-Face)
Amie Verscuk: Psychologist
Amie is a registered psychologist who has recently completed her PhD in Psychology. She has a special interest in supporting adult clients through assessments and diagnoses for autism and neurodivergence, and has extensive experience preparing reports suitable for NDIS applications.
Amie provides a client-centred, inclusive, and compassionate approach, working collaboratively with clients to ensure the assessment process is supportive, thorough, and tailored to individual needs. She focuses on helping clients feel understood and empowered throughout their assessment journey.
Working Days: Monday, Friday
Mikaela Jarvis: Practice Manager
Mikaela is the Practice Manager at Ballarat Women’s Psychology and is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment where clients feel supported from their very first contact with the clinic.
She oversees the day-to-day operations, managing appointments, communications, and team coordination, with a strong focus on organisation and meeting the needs of both clients and staff. Mikaela is dedicated to ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and that every client’s experience is positive and supportive. She takes pride in fostering a compassionate and client-centred culture, where everyone feels heard, valued, and cared for throughout their time with Ballarat Women’s Psychology.
