    Individual Therapy

At Ballarat Women’s Psychology, our individual therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for women to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. We understand that each woman’s journey is unique, and our team aims to offer care that is compassionate, person-centred, and tailored to individual needs.

We support women across all life stages, from adolescence to adulthood, who may be experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including:

    Anxiety and stress

    Depression and low mood

Life transitions (e.g., parenting, career changes, relationship shifts)

    Coping with grief or loss

    Emotional wellbeing and self-development

  • Telehealth Psychology Appointments

We offer telehealth psychology appointments for women across Australia, providing flexible and accessible mental health support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Telehealth sessions are conducted securely via video call and offer the same compassionate, evidence-based care as in-person appointments.

Telehealth can be a helpful option for women who:

Live in rural or remote areas

Have busy schedules, parenting responsibilities or limited time

Prefer the comfort and convenience of home

Experience anxiety around attending appointments in person

Travel frequently or require greater flexibility

Telehealth appointments can be booked online through our normal booking system. When making your booking, please include in the booking notes that you would like your appointment to be via telehealth or alternatively email the clinic so we can update the appointment for you. Please note that online bookings will otherwise default to an in-clinic appointment.

ASD & ADHD Assessments

We offer comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments for adolescents and adults who are seeking a deeper understanding of how they think, feel, and behave. Our assessments are conducted by trained clinicians using evidence-based tools to ensure an accurate, objective, and professional evaluation.

Assessments are tailored to the individual and may support greater self-understanding, inform appropriate supports, and assist with planning for education, work, and daily life.

Adolescent Assessments

We offer ASD assessments for adults (over 18) and ADHD assessments for adolescents aged 5 years and older.

For adolescents seeking an ASD and/or ADHD assessment, it is a requirement that they are linked with a paediatrician prior to commencing the assessment process. This ensures appropriate medical oversight and coordinated care. We are happy to work collaboratively with the treating paediatrician as part of this process.

Please note that ADHD assessments for children and adolescents involve both a parent session and a child/adolescent session. This allows for a comprehensive understanding of the young person’s presentation across settings and supports a thorough and developmentally informed assessment process.

Who May Benefit

ASD and ADHD assessments may be particularly helpful for individuals who:

  • Are seeking clarity about their experiences, behaviours, or ways of thinking

  • Want to better understand themselves or a loved one

  • Are considering supports or strategies for daily living, work, or study

  • Have long-standing difficulties with attention, organisation, emotional regulation, social interaction, or sensory sensitivities

Medication and ADHD

As psychologists, we are unable to prescribe medication for ADHD. However, if medication support is something you are interested in exploring, we are happy to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary approach to ensure care is well coordinated and tailored to individual needs.
