Group Therapy: IVF Support
At Ballarat Women’s Psychology, we believe that connection and shared understanding can be powerful parts of the therapeutic process. Beginning in February 2026, we will offer two group therapy programs designed to provide support, insight, and community in a safe, guided environment.
Our IVF Support Group provides a compassionate space for women navigating the emotional and physical challenges of fertility treatment. The group offers an opportunity to share experiences, learn coping strategies, and feel supported by others who truly understand the complexities of this journey.
Sessions are facilitated by a qualified therapist and focus on emotional wellbeing, stress management, and self-compassion throughout the IVF process. This group will be available both in-person at our Ballarat clinic and via Telehealth, allowing participants to connect in a way that best suits their needs and comfort.

Couples Group - Growing Stronger Together
Our couples group, Growing Stronger Together, is designed to help partners strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate life’s challenges collaboratively. Through guided discussions and practical strategies, couples explore ways to enhance understanding and resilience within their relationship.
Facilitated by experienced therapists, this group offers a supportive environment where couples can reflect, learn, and grow together. Both group programs are therapeutic and educational in nature and do not replace individual therapy but rather complement it as part of a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing.
ASD & ADHD Assessments
We offer comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments for adolescents and adults who are seeking a deeper understanding of how they think, feel, and behave. Our assessments are conducted by trained clinicians using evidence-based tools to ensure an accurate, objective, and professional evaluation.
Assessments are tailored to the individual and may support greater self-understanding, inform appropriate supports, and assist with planning for education, work, and daily life.
Adolescent Assessments
We offer ASD and ADHD assessments for adolescents aged 8 years and older.
For adolescents seeking an ASD and/or ADHD assessment, it is a requirement that they are linked with a paediatrician prior to commencing the assessment process. This ensures appropriate medical oversight and coordinated care. We are happy to work collaboratively with the treating paediatrician as part of this process.
Please note that ADHD assessments for adolescents involve both a parent session and a child/adolescent session. This allows for a comprehensive understanding of the young person’s presentation across settings and supports a thorough and developmentally informed assessment process.
Who May Benefit
ASD and ADHD assessments may be particularly helpful for individuals who:
Are seeking clarity about their experiences, behaviours, or ways of thinking
Want to better understand themselves or a loved one
Are considering supports or strategies for daily living, work, or study
Have long-standing difficulties with attention, organisation, emotional regulation, social interaction, or sensory sensitivities
Medication and ADHD
As psychologists, we are unable to prescribe medication for ADHD. However, if medication support is something you are interested in exploring, we work closely with a trusted psychiatrist who can assist with assessment, medication options, and ongoing management of ADHD. We are happy to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary approach to ensure care is well coordinated and tailored to individual needs.
